Why the Hate? Why the Envy? Why the Jealousy?

By Princess Pat Akpabio

I have been pondering for some time on these three words, Hate, Envy, and Jealousy.

These are three powerful emotions that can steal, kill, and destroy a person’s life in totality unless God intervenes with His Power of Divinity.
“For God so loved the world…” John 3:16a. It was love that gave us Jesus and brought about the reconciliation between humanity and God our creator. Love is by far a superior emotion that builds up a person’s life, the whole community, and the world at large.

I have realized that until the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will face haters who will hate us because we are better placed in life than they are, envious people who wish to be us and have what we have, we will deal with jealous people who want to take away what we have because for whatever reason they feel we shouldn’t have what we have. Unknown to those who hate, Envy, and jealous others, God is the designer of all our destinies, not us ourselves.

As it is written in the Bible in Ecclesiastes ‭9:11‬ “I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.”

Yes, Time and Chance and God who shows mercy to whom He chooses to show mercy. It is a waste of time and energy to be bitter over someone else’s blessings. Celebrate those you think don’t deserve what they have so when your turn comes, you too will be celebrated. After all my dear readers, which amongst us here deserve the kind of life he/she lives today? No one prayed to be born rich or poor.

Close up photo beautiful her she lady awful awkward situation look hate mad rage outraged ugh facial expression wear casual white t-shirt jeans denim clothes outfit isolated bright blue background.

I want you to know and Realize that some were born rich and maintained the rich lifestyle, some were born poor and will remain poor; some were born rich and today are poor and some were born poor and today they are rich. Whatever category we find ourselves, celebrate good things and love good things you see on people, so it will come to you. If you can’t do that, expect to work on earth without a reward.

I want to encourage someone reading this write-up today with a quote from Shannon L. Alder,
“They will hate you if you are beautiful. They will hate you if you are successful. They will hate you if you are right. They will hate you if you are popular. They will hate you when you get attention. They will hate you when people in their life like you. They will hate you if you worship a different version of their God. They will hate you if you are spiritual. They will hate you if you have courage. They will hate you if you have an opinion. They will hate you when people support you. They will hate you when they see you happy. Heck, they will hate you while they post prayers and religious quotes on Pinterest and Facebook. They just hate.

However, remember this: They hate you because you represent something they feel they don’t have. It really isn’t about you. It is about the hatred they have for themselves. So smile today because there is something you are doing right that has a lot of people thinking about you.”

No matter what you do and say, good or bad, where God has placed, there are people in this life who will Hate, Envy and Jealous you for it even when they are so ignorant of your true-life story of how you came to Glory. Don’t allow hate, Envy and Jealous people get the best of your time on earth. Stay focused on your God-given purpose and keep your eyes on the prize.

Remember, you are what God says you are not what your critics say you are. You don’t answer to what names anybody calls you that doesn’t reflect the image of the invisible God. A ROSE called by another name will still smell like a ROSE.

“Hate no one, envy no one, jealous no one, because if given the same opportunity that he/she has had, you won’t be able to cry their tears, fast their fast, preach their gospel or walk the walk that they have had to walk, climb the mountains and descend the valleys, endure the storms, the sun and the rain, face the giants, the thieves on the way to get to where they are.

What people have passed through in this life, in almost all cases, are too sensitive to talk about and better left imagined than experienced by haters, envious and jealous entities. Be contented that You don’t know the Story but you see the Glory because God designs it so”.
