Flawless Face

By Princess Pat Akpabio (Guest Contributor Tolani Adewole)

Is there anything as flawless beauty, flawless face?

What is Flawless?

Flawless as defined by Oxford dictionaries is the beauty without any blemishes or imperfections; perfect. What makes beauty naturally intriguing, attractive, and perfect is the natural flaws that we all possess as a free gift from our Divine Creator.

When we talk about beauty being flawless, it is how you take care of your skin generally, and the appearance of it; is it your face, your hands, your legs, etc that makes it FLAWLESS.

Therefore when we talk about beauty generally, it is also important to talk about the foundation of beauty. For more in-depth details on the foundation of beauty, kindly refer to my early article Beauty secrets: “beyond the makeup.” it is important to take care of the beauty within first before the outward beauty.

If you don’t take care of the beauty within, the outward appearance will be lacking in many ways. Makeup can only do so much for so long and for some people.

Our focus on this article is the FACE. How your face greets the world once you step out of your comfort zone is very essential in the look you wear. The face is the first thing others see about us before noticing what we are wearing to complement our facial look. So, here are some tips that will help you to attain and achieve a flawless face.

These are tips that have been tested and they work for us.
Skincare before makeup: wash your face with soft soap(not harsh) or Face Wash. If you have oily or acne, use a face wash with salicylic acid. After that use a face mist followed by a Facial Moisturizer with SPF 25 (you can use your regular lotion- make sure it is not oily).

Foundation Selection: It is best to use two colors. One, a shade below your skin color and the other a shade higher than your skin color. This will give you the flawless look and a much better match. Then apply your powder if the foundation is not the cream to powder brand and you want a matte finish.

Skincare after Makeup Removal: Removal of makeup can be done with makeup remover soothing to your skin type or You can use a night wash But if you have sensitive skin, just use your regular bath soap but I will recommend moisturizing bath soap and water.

For a tingling refreshing feel on the face before bed, Apply Astringent like SEA BREEZE on a cotton ball and wipe your face further. if you have sensitive skin use sea breeze for sensitive skin or the normal one for a normal skin type and follow up with a Night cream Moisturizer and say good night.
Repeat the process every day but once in a while, skip the use of the salicylic acid face wash because of acne and use a regular morning burst face wash, this will give your face rest and reduce the possibility of your face getting used to the face wash product you are using.

Don’t forget to drink at least 64oz of water to help clear the appearance of acne blemish or for maintaining a flawless skin appearance and keeping you hydrated throughout the day.

Self-love is an integral part of your daily beauty regiment. You must get used to pampering your face and loving his/her appearance knowing fully well that your face is the first billboard the world sees when you open your door and step out. Love your looks by taking care of how you look.
